"I love your work and your message- anyone can have a go."

Clare Holdsworth, manager of the Voice and Influence team at Sheffield City Council.

Clare commented that she found the book extremely useful for planning activities with young people. She praised its ease of use and wealth of ideas. The V and I team are also using it to plan sessions, which has improved the quality and creativity of delivery. The book helps them write lyrics about meaningful topics like their rights and entitlements. Clare loves the book, has no suggestions for improvement, and appreciates its inclusive message. One of the Voice and Influence team has begun working with TRACKS and delivers workshops and is working on some of our projects evaluations.

"Lyrical Genius has been a great tool in my work as a music therapist trainee at a mental health hospital. The prompts and ideas provided, simplify the process of songwriting which can often be overwhelming for individuals with no prior experience.  Songwriting in the setting of music therapy can be used as a form of expression as well as a means to build one’s confidence. After using one of the prompts in the magazine during a group therapy session, my clients wrote a song and they were able to sing it all together with some piano accompaniment. I am very grateful that I came across this  amazing and accessible songwriting tool and I’m impressed by how easy the process of writing was."

Antigoni Anastasiadou, Trainee Music Therapist and Piano Teacher

"It was really fantastic and so nice to see how all involved grew with confidence as the session progressed!"

Clare O'Neill, Children and Young People’s Advocate & Group Facilitator

Clare funded additional workshops for after the project is finished via Sheffield City Council to support children in care to access music and help write a song about their rights.
